Built an Excel-based bulk order entry tool integrated with the client’s web-based IMS via APIs, simplifying weekly recurring order management. The tool featured a user- friendly control panel for managing clients, products, and delivery schedules. It enabled fast order entry, auto-filled data, and seamless syncing with the IMS.
The Challenge
Our client used a web-based inventory and order management tool. It’s complicated & cumbersome to add orders one by one into the tool for their growing client list with recurring orders on a weekly basis. Each client has a different but consistent orders on a weekly basis.
Requirements: Client needed an excel based easy to use bulk order entering tool into their inventory and order management system(IMS).
Develop an intuitive, easy to use tool which sales team can use to quickly add orders to IMS.
Our Solution
The IMS used by the client has a vibrant set of API. We created an easy-to-use control panel using which we can set the weekly order for each client. The solution allowed user to easily change the order quantity, add new stocks with their codes in the IMS system and allows them to add more clients easily. A separate control page determined the delivery dates based on the order dates. Customer details and product details where also auto sourced from the IMS system using API and updated to ensure seamless integration b/w the two systems.
